General Membership

The general membership of the RWRA is open to any Rivonia resident (based on a verifiable residential address) or property owner, who pays rates and taxes to the city, within the demarcated boundaries of the suburb of Rivonia, Ward 106, Region E, City of Johannesburg.
General members will be kept informed about the activities of the RWRA at either meetings or through our communications channels (including this website, emails and social media, including our very active WhatsApp community groups).

Volunteer

This is any general member who can offer their time, effort and skills to supporting some of the activities and initiatives of the RWRA. Active volunteers who can show that they have been meaningfully involved in the activities and initiatives of the RWRA, through contributing their time, efforts or skills to help achieve its objects, will receive voting rights at the RWRA’s Annual General Meeting and Special General Meetings, for the calendar year they have contributed.

The Rivonia Wide Residents Association is a registered Non Profit Company with Public Benefit Organization (PBO) status, as registered with SARS per Section 18A of the Income Tax Act No. 58 of 1962.  All funds paid to the RWRA are considered voluntary donations and are thus tax deductible to the value of a maximum of 10% of the donors taxable annual income. All donors will receive a Section 18A certificate with PBO name, PBO reference number, date, amount, donor details, and statement that it’s for a public benefit activity under Part II of the Ninth Schedule of the Income Tax Act No. 58 of 1962.
