2. Joburg Crisis Alliance: This week, we issued a press statement addressing concerns around Floyd Brink’s protection by the current Council. We are closely monitoring internal changes in staff and contracts. Recognizing the need for an investigation, we have urged the Special Investigating Unit (SIU) to look into decisions made during Brink’s tenure. 4. Property Rates: The City claims to have concluded all property valuation objections, paving the way for the Appeals process. We are expanding our research to assess the feedback received by those who signed our petition. Additionally, the Ombudsman has acknowledged our concerns and we are now registering a formal query.

5. Municipal Manager Update: The DA is contemplating further action to enforce a contempt of Court order against the Municipal Manager. We are closely monitoring developments in this matter.
